December 13, 1966. What a day! That was the day Angel and I got married. December 2016 – time flew by; now we’re celebrating our Golden (50th) Anniversary. And what a wild ride it has been! Our daughters, Kerri and Kim threw a party for us, and invited all our friends, some of their friends (who’ve known us a long time), and some family too. Both girls were able to get their busy husbands here for the party. Both of them had to travel from the East coast, as chance would happen (Darrel and Kim live in S. Carolina, and Steve was back East on business). Kerri did the catering; we had some nice appetizers, and then she whipped out the dinner (ham, chicken, potatoes, green beans, rolls). Dessert was a white double-layer “wedding cake” – enough for everyone! It was so much fun to celebrate our special day with everyone; it meant a lot to us. It was great to see the faces of those we don’t get to see often, and nice that so many of our local friends could make it too. Thank you for helping make our 50th anniversary one to remember!
